Feb. 1st, 2007 04:39 pmThursday= story time & craft! Post holidays down the coast with darling friends & I have been working, working & working. Finally saw the family, fresh from Vietnam on Sunday. They look refreshed. My youngest sister (13) is now just, I repeat, just taller than I am. Nobody is suprised at this, since it has been deemed by the gods that i'd be shortest. I recieved some gifts, including the legendary coconut candy of which i'd heard nothing but good news. Hmmm. Coconut candy *drools ala Homer Simpson* The sisters liked thier birthday pendents... K.O. put hers straight on. The girl has potential for true awesomeness... nice to see that it develops without my direct daily input.
Last week - what a week!
Muse: (which I, in an entirly typical mishka-memory moment had forgotten about) were amazing. I'll admit to dancing away on the storm, apparantly recieving funny looks along the way.
Big Day Out: Argh! So my sister Tori didn't end up catching up with me. Great line up, got a lift in with Jenn around 1 just in time to stroll the markets, catch up with Cara & Karen then rock out to amazing acts. Even bought a corset, which ment I had to take my top (just that) in public. Scary, but I was mostly screened off. It was over 75% off & looks amazing. Was possibly spotted dancing in it (with my t.shirt tucked into my jeans) to the Presets later that night. Met great (if a little high) people on the train back to the city too. All in all, a great night. Highlights: MCR, Peaches, Muse, Presets & Violent Femmes.
My Chemical Romance x2 (Luna Park & Horden): OMG! Brain overload. At this point, what with the miniscule amount of food consumed and sleep achieved, I was still amazingly feeling pumped. Lunapark: hung out all day with Viki, Dane, Cara, Karen, Anne Marie & Jenn. Did it again the next, also with Taffy, Caitlin, Paige, Alex and assorted others whole beat me later for forgetting thier names. Nikki too. Line singnig, consumption of sweets, ice tea and Jessica (i hope) bread. Jenn lost her voice - completly. Mine is still croaky, since it didn't completly disapear. Had some weird thing happen - tingling hands & feet, hyperventilating, dizziness, wanting to sleep & being incredibly thirsty. Jenns mum, who was rocking out herself, believes I may be hypoglycemic - which would explain things. MCR themselves were at thier absolute peak at Luna Park. I'm stopping before I drool - I can go into details later. *dreams of MCR*
